When this 2290 truck tax return is filed electronically IRS would be receiving it immediately for processing and issue you the stamped Schedule-1 receipt. Normally the filing period is from July to June. If you put your vehicles to use after July you would be filing taxes prorated, based on its first month of use. File Form 2290 for any taxable vehicles first used on a public highway after July 2017 by the last day of the month following the month of first use.
