Today March 8 and wish every Women in Trucking a Happy Women’s Day

We, TruckDues.com wish every women in trucking a Happy Women’s Day.

The numbers of women’s in trucking increasing gradually. With women accounting for approximately 6% of the driving fleet in the U.S. – most recent numbers in Canada indicated only 3% of drivers are female, many around the world are encouraged by the rise in U.S. numbers, still it is a long way to go.

According to the recent numbers released on the country’s ongoing truck driver shortage is now in the range of 30,000 to 35,000 on the basis of 750,000 trucks. If current trends continue, the shortage may exploded to as many as 245,000 by 2022.

It is the time for us to empower the women in trucking and encourage then to take up carrier opportunities in trucking. It is such a special industry to be in, Yes, women can drive, and we love our women drivers, but there are just so many facets to this industry. In the office alone there is dispatching, billing, safety, women can be mechanics, and then you can step to the other side of it and work the docks, work in the shipping/receiving department, and then you can look at fuel stops, working the desk, etc. There is honestly something for everyone in this field.

A woman performs all the duties of a man but a man cannot do all that a woman can do. A woman in any form shall be celebrated and honored, be it, a sister or a wife or a mother or any other form. Women are the mammoth reservoir of power and talent which has yet not been tapped. Empower woman, empower the human community. The base on which the world stands is a women. There is only one thing in the Universe which a woman still needs to learn and that one thing is that, ‘she has the power to turn the direction of the wind on her own’

Wishing every women all success and great year ahead.
